Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island is most known for its historical significance to the founding of Canada. The downtown area has many Victorian era houses and buildings that would make any visitor to the city believe they are traveling back in time. There are also many galleries, museums and historical locations that attract people from all over. Charlottetown holds a summer festival with live theatre shows every year, including more notably the musical "Anne of Green Gables", which is Canada¿s most popular musical show. The latest attraction is a new cruise ship terminal, which draws in vessels from the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Aside from these exciting attractions there are many other activities to take part in, such as trails, parks and sports fields.
